5.27.13 (via RACER) – Indianapolis 500 runner-up Carlos Munoz says the Firestone Indy Lights title is still his priority for 2013 despite his spectacular IndyCar debut.
Driving a fifth car for Andretti Autosport, the 21-year-old Colombian qualified and finished second, beating his four teammates, who include reigning champion Ryan Hunter-Reay.
Munoz currently leads the Indy Lights standings by 27 points, having won two of this season's four races so far, driving for Andretti's junior squad.
"Right now, let's wait to see how the future will work for me," said Munoz. "Right now I'm thinking Indy Lights. I have to do my job and my job is that I'm still Indy Lights championship leader.
"This was my main goal since I started the year. [Indy] was one race more to have more experience and it came out really good, I think better than expected."
