Rest In Peace Dan Wheldon
Hey mate, greetings from Germany
I met Dan Wheldon when it was driver’s day at Honda Performance Development. Dan’s a great person & we will truly miss him. GODSPEED DAN #77 RIP LionHeart
Michael,no disrespect, but Dan,Although he came up the formula Atlantic series and was succesful was not a very good road racer. You know that.I feel that you wanted him because he just had assisted in the development of the2012 chassis and engine package and was just balls to the wall on ovals. In addition Dan had become a charismatic personality in the broadcast booth and the garage and could be a very good replacement for Danica, because of his sex appeal, good looks and great personality.Dan was a marketing dream. He was friendly to every one and accessible. The man was lovable because he was simple. He was a true racer!pedal to the metalWe can all mourn him as a good guy and great human being.Dan,has raced to heaven.
guy was just so lovable
everybody,who like everybody
know that
A great driver who embraced america
Realised he was going to struggle to get a drive in F1 because of finance so took himself to the states and wowed them
I recall he finished his first 500 upside down
The boy did good winning it 2 times and being champion 1 time
Missed but never forgotten
It would have been cool to have seen Dan Wheldon race for Andretti Autosport again. His passing away will deprive us of that.A very matured Dan Wheldon could have given Penske and Ganassi teams a run for their money. Now that Andretti Autosport is again searching for a replacement for Danica Patrick, how about the following: Ed Carpenter on ovals and Sebastian Bourdais on road courses and temporary street circuits
I would really like to wish loved ones of dan wheldon all the strength and love to carry this substantial lost in their lives, my thoughts are going to be with these folks
I wish the loved ones of dan wheldon all of the strength and love to bear this enormous lost on their lives, my thoughts will be with them
Dan,
I had met you in the garage area back in May 2011. I had never seen a driver that is so people oriented. I hope that you may have taught some of the others to be just like you. My heart goes out to the Wheldon Family. RIP Dan you will be missed but never forgotten.
